Trans rights are under attack in the UK but we can all do our part to resist.

On the 16th of April, the Supreme Court published a ruling that, for purposes of the Equality Act 2010, defined “sex” as “biological sex”.  

In response to that ruling the UK’s human rights regulator (the EHRC) has produced guidance that will be hugely harmful to trans people – focusing on their exclusion from services and spaces across our society. 

The EHRC is consulting on this new guidance until 30 June, so now is our chance to speak up. 

Anyone can respond to the consultation and our friends at TransActual, Mermaids and Scottish Trans have created a resource to help you understand which questions to answer and what you might want to say.

You don’t have to answer every question and your answers can be as short as you like. The important thing is just to respond if you feel able to.
